How do I strip the color out of my hair?

I've had my hair color for about 5 months and the roots are coming in. I don't want to dye my hair again because I just want my natural hair color back. Any suggestions? I want to do it naturally. I don't want to buy any hair color fader or hair color stripping set. I heard about conditioner and Head and Shoulders?
