Is it possible to buy in at the opening dow jones industrial price before it goes up or down right away?

The Dow normally goes up or down quite a bit right after opening, but it looks like it opens at its previous close. Is it possible to buy in at that opening price or does it move to quickly? Could I maybe get in if I put a buy order in a little higher than the opening price? Thanks.
