Why is my speakers cutting out when subwoofer comes on?

jvc head unit with 1 rca jack. I have dash speakers and soundbar speakers above my head(its a jeep) both full range and both work perfect and the fader and balance work. I wired my subwoofer setup and when the amp comes on the subwoofer plays but the full range speakers cut out completely? any ideas
