Will running a haze machine through Dmx to a lighting desk on a fader damage the hazer or is it fine to do?

wouldnt have thought so. I know you can DMX smoke machines. the one i have has different attributes for different DMX ranges, so dimming would move through these ranges. Not sure about hazers. Have you tried looking in the manual?? i would have thought it would be similar if it has dmx control. what hazer have you got??
